Our Wedding

We met in a modern way, through a dating app, and quickly discovered a genuine connection. Our first date at Asher Cafe in Northeast lasted well into the evening. Despite Maddie parking too far away than intended, arriving 15 minutes late, and frequently using the word “lit,” we ended up closing down the restaurant after hours of conversation. Andy then walked Maddie back to her car, graciously doing so while in urgent need of a restroom. Our second date included Long Island iced teas at Can Can Wonderland, followed by Indian food after Maddie badly lost against Andy in mini golf....Three years later, in September 2025, we became engaged in Las Vegas, marking the next chapter of our story.

Our Story

Our engagement took place at Sadelle’s in the Bellagio Gardens, thanks to Andy’s investigative planning skills and talent for finding a very good deal. He secured an exclusive table tucked into the garden, complete with a tiered brunch and a bottle of champagne. After the last bites and a full pour, he popped the question. As the moment landed, onlookers in the gardens cheered, smiled, and offered congratulations, turning a quiet surprise into a shared celebration we will never forget.

We kindly ask guests to dress in formal wedding attire. For men, this includes dress slacks with a button-up shirt and tie, or a suit. For women, we ask that guests wear a formal dress or equally formal attire.

Dress Code

Built in 1899 for Frank and Anne Semple, the Semple Mansion reflects the success of one of Minneapolis’s most prominent families at the turn of the century. Frank B. Semple was a partner and vice president of Janney, Semple &amp; Co., a wholesale hardware firm that earned him the nickname “the Hardware King of Minneapolis.” Designed by Long, Lamoreaux &amp; Long in the Second Italian Renaissance Revival style, the mansion features European details and the Grand Palladian Ballroom, the largest original residential ballroom in Minnesota. In 1998, it was placed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Save the Date

Inspired by the stained glass ceiling at The Breakers in Newport, Rhode Island, this design reflects our shared love of history, craftsmanship, and spaces that carry stories within their walls. To the left is a photo of the original glass skylight taken during our first trip to Newport in 2023. Throughout our wedding, stained glass appears as a recurring motif, drawn from Victorian homes we have encountered together in places that now belong to our story. Invitation

Our wedding invitation draws inspiration from the stained glass and architectural detail of the Gothic Room at the Marble House in Newport, Rhode Island. Built by Alva and William K. Vanderbilt in the late 19th century, the Marble House reflects the scale and ambition of the Gilded Age, with rooms designed to showcase historic European styles. The Gothic Room, with its pointed arches, intricate woodwork, and richly colored stained glass, is considered one of the most accurate and complete representations of Gothic architecture in an American residence.
